Frequently Asked Questions

Screen/Projector

Screens vary in size, but can be as large as 100" diagonally. Consider the amount of space you already use for existing media and the accessories you'll be adding such as seating, speakers, and equipment storage.

To save space, install a roll up screen that can be stored manually or a motorized, retractable screen for the ceiling. Retractable screens require special construction and installation. For more information visit www.cedia.net.

When positioning your screen, it should not be in the way of extraneous light. On a dark wall, the picture quality of your move projector will improve drastically. This may alter your room's arrangement.

The picture quality, versatility and affordability of the HC3000U, HD1000U and HD4000U make them all exceptional choices for this high-energy space. In the multimedia room, the movie projector will have to sit at a relative distance (throw distance) from the screen to be able to project the desired screen size, and needs to be out of the way of other activities. Download our Projector Throw Distance Calculator to calculate your multimedia room's throw distance.

Position the HC3000U, HD1000U or HD4000U as a portable tabletop device, on a shelf, mounted on the wall or ceiling using optional mounting brackets, or install a retractable ceiling projector. For some installations you may need a professional installer and electrician. For more information, visit www.cedia.net.
